While fiction, it captures very well the emotional and financial pain often inflicted by a legal system that too often has turned into an industry that spins pain into profit. The story draws you in immediately and the characters are very believable. I hope we hear more from Leona Silberberg!

By Diana The only reason I didn't rate this book a 5 is because I feel incomplete by not hearing the other side of the story. Despite that, I feel confident that the author was fair in describing the nightmare she found herself in when she realized her husband was assaulting their kids. Who brings bags full of Christmas presents over for only one of two children? That was all it took for me to hate the husband. And I have to admit that I'm jealous of the dreams the author had. I wish I could have had those types of dreams to help me through my divorce. Fair warning, if you read this book, you will have a sudden urge to visit Montana!

By annette coffey For any woman with children who is thinking of leaving a toxic, fearful marriage - please read this book first. Hopefully you will avoid the legal and financial nightmares that could (and did) occur to one remarkable and resilient woman. I especially enjoyed the main character's dreams and the uplifting imagery embedded within each one. It's a lesson in perseverance and surviving an overwhelming legal nightmare.Spoiler alert: the family court system is not fair to people who cannot afford excellent legal representation. The party with the best paid lawyers will usually win their motions and drag out cases to the disadvantage of the poorer party - and usually the husbands have the financial advantage over the stay-at-home wives.
