About the Author

Jerusha Jones lives in a small town in the west end of the Columbia River Gorge. When she grows up, she fully intends to be a feisty old lady. In the meantime, she regularly maxes out her library's lending limit, has happily declared a truce with the clover in the lawn, but is fanatical about sealing up cracks in her old house, armed with a caulking gun. Due to the number of gaps she has yet to locate, however, she has also perfected her big spider shriek.

Jerusha loves wool socks, Pink Lady apples with crunchy peanut butter, feather pillows, scenery of breathtaking grandeur, and weather just cool enough to require a sweater, all of which are plentiful in the Pacific Northwest. She is eternally grateful to have escaped the corporate world with its relentless, mind-numbing meetings and now writes (or doodles or fantasizes or cogitates or stares out the window or whatever you want to call it) full time.

By Amazon Customer ******* SPOILER ALERT ****************It is difficult to write a review for a series without giving some of what has happened in previous books. Meredith and Pete get married but fires in the vicinity cast a cloud over Sockeye County in more ways than one. Add to that the unexpected generous gift of artifacts from the Middle East arriving at the museum along with things not on the manifesto; and you have Jerusha Jones at her best. This is such a great series and Jerusha Jones has just got better and better as a writer.

By Ethan Winning I got hooked on the characters and plots of the Imogene Museum Mysteries from book 1. Jerusha Jones continues to fill out the main cast of characters as well as the Columbia River locale all while coming up with (fairly) plausible happenings at the museum. Shift Burn is a fast read - too fast - and it I was "involved" by the end of the first chapter. Jerusha Jones may be surprised that my favorite characters are Sheriff Marge and Tuppence!

I live in a very rural area. I felt right at home with the heavy duty OLD trucks,internet ordering, and simple small town atmosphere. These books are simply fun. The characters feel like old friends. This author simply needs to write faster. I can't wait for the next book.

The illustrations are great and the writing is simple enough to entertain without being irritating to read out loud. I think this book is going to become a new classic.

By Livi'smom In 1987 Robert Pack published Clayfeld Rejoices, Clayfeld Laments, and it appeared that we’d seen the last of Clayfeld, because he dies at the end, his life of seriocomic ups and downs concluding with one last down when, in an experience he characteristically finds both poignant and interesting, a vengeful woman pushes him out of his lawyer’s skyscraper window. But in Clayfeld Holds On, Pack’s twentieth volume of poetry, his hero of dramatic ordinariness returns, outliving death--and why not, since he is so clearly the alter-ego of a poet who is still going strong at 85. In his new collection Pack acknowledges his intimacy with his creation by beginning Clayfeld’s story with “Bob Pack’s Invocation to Clayfeld” and concluding it with “Clayfeld’s Farewell Epistle to Bob Pack”—though the last two poems of the volume are first-person epilogues, seemingly in Pack’s own voice and experience, that attest to the well-rounded life and unique sensibility that bore, nurtured, and then resurrected Clayfeld. If you ever need to take a break from Barcelona and explore this unique wine country Priorat DOQ (or officially Priorat Denominació d'Origen Qualificada - think specially designated region like Champagne of France), you will need this guide, a rental car and a GPS. There are over 100 wineries (the author prefers to call them cellars) so your trip will keep you busy. Napa, California has ~140 so your choice in Priorat is enormous. The author has done a ton of research, including on-site visits and tastings, so focus on the wineries that are open to the public, speak English, have been marked by 2 or 3 stars by the author etc. according to your needs. Great guide for wine lovers and visitors to Catalonia looking for a unique tourist experience.

It was filled with plenty of twists and turns, and the sex scenes had me fanning myself. You could go to The Red Door, and have all of your fantasies fulfilled. Danni ran the place with an iron fist. She told a very interesting story about how The Red Door started. You must read this book to understand what I am taking about. You will not be disappointed.

Yet everything comes for a price.Tom, seemed like the normal one who just had a little fetish he needed to be fulfilled, yet he was a very married man, and began to fall in love with one of the girls. When he least excepted his world came tumbling down when someone started blackmailing him.Stan, is one crazy individual, he had the mentally of if I can't have you nobody can. By going to The Red Room he got a privilege no one else got, confusing lust for love he became overly possessive killing someone in the progress.Peter, is a lost cost trying to ruin people that helped him, and in the end the two people he liked the most left him in shambles.Danni, the Madame she did things very differently she actually cared for the people that worked for her. Yet don't get it twisted she has a very dark side, gear her story of how The Red Door came about made me understand her more and I'm glad her and Bruce met one another. They balance each other out even though there only friends.That ending left me speechless, Blue handling things, I hope this Piccolo person isn't who I think it is. This is a must read, I recommend to everyone!

Danni was a troubled young lady who ended up consorting with some of the most impressive people one could ever meet. Her discretion for their requests was what gave her to the power she had and boy did she have some power. When a sexual encounter gone wrong turns into a deadly disaster for the beauty she has no choice but to pick up and start anew. Her new beginning brings her into contact with someone she never would have thought. The story Phoenix Williams weave in this tale of lust, love, lies and deception is one that makes for a good read! She is slowly becoming one of my new favorites. Job well done.

The Missing Manual for Lean Startup and Lean UX Techniques By Lane Halley Jaime defines UX Strategy as "the intersection of user experience design and business strategy" I consider this book the "Missing Manual" for Lean Startup and Lean UX techniques.I enjoyed reading UX Strategy because of the clear explanations, abundant examples and engaging writing style. It is well researched, current and appropriately credits other thought-leaders in this field. I appreciate the bonus interviews with prominent UX Strategists. It's a nice touch to to include a variety of perspectives on the subject.This book has long term value because you can read it cover to cover to gain insight into UX Strategy, and later refer back to it for guidance as you work through your own product ideas.

12 of 13 people found the following review helpful. Wonderful book By Brian Clayton I am the President for the UX Book Club of LA and out all the books on UX Strategy, this book is the best. Jaime did a wonderful job described the process of creating and validating digital products or services in an easy, fast and fun way. What I enjoyed most was her explanation of tasks and citing relevant case studies from past client she had worked with to make the methodology easier to understand and implement with my own ideas. I have already started using many of the techniques outlined in the book. Simple things that other books just don't have, like how to create an online ad for recruiting off of craigslist and many more. She has also has a UX Strategy Toolkit that gives you access to all the tools used in the book. If you want more than to be a "wireframe monkey", this is the book to get.

Excellent book for beginners or experienced alike By Paul Vachier I'm a Web Developer with a lot of experience building websites but not much experience in crafting complex user experiences. I also didn't know the difference between UX strategy and UX design before reading this book, despite having been involved in digital production for about 20 years. By the end of the first chapter however, I already understood what UX strategy vs UX design was all about and felt highly motivated to dig deeper into the nitty gritty of UX strategy, which is really more about the BIG PICTURE involved with designing digital interfaces.While the first chapter masterfully introduces the concepts of UX strategy and removes all the confusion about various industry buzzwords and lingo associated with UX, the rest of the book gives you the real, bonafide, battle-tested tools needed to apply yourself and become a successful UX strategist. It offers a step-by-step process on how to analyze your product(s), potential customers, competitors, value proposition, etc. and create killer user experiences. And it does so with lots of solid info, clear examples, and no fluff. There's even a section at the end where she interviews several top UX strategists to get their take on UX and where things are going.Clearly Jaime has a lot of experience in this field, both as a creator of user experiences and as a teacher, having taught for many years at both UCLA and USC, among other schools. Despite this she doesn't come off as some boring academic, but rather as a straight-talking, easy to follow coach who also motivates you about the topic. I think that much of what she has learned and taught over the years is offered in this book in a very well-written, clear and digestible fashion (it's also much cheaper than taking a class at USC). By the end of the book I felt like I could confidently give a lengthy talk on the subject, or go out and start seeking clients to aid with their UX development. I think just about anybody could read this book and walk away with the tools and know-how to become a successful UX strategist, everything you need is here.

He has been leading lives for as long as I can remember. He is a teacher, motivator, coach and leadership guru. When he talks I listen and when he writes I take note. Kelly is not only one of the most gifted communicators that I know but one of the most inspirational individuals I know.In this new book, Kelly notes that leadership is both lovely and lonely. It can be isolated at the top but he reminds us that it doesn't have to be. True leadership is not only marching forward but reaching back to pour into others. True leadership is selfless not selfish and Kelly has not only a way with words but this concept down and we are all better for him sharing. Those whom lead must read and this is one book that you absolutely must get for your library to glean from again and again. Buy one for yourself and TWO to give away!

About the Author Hello; my name is Edward Bailey. I was born on June 10, 1961, in Alexandria, Virginia. After graduating from Edison High School in Alexandria, I taught myself the violin, which became my first passion. In 1989, I began experimenting with photography. I learned darkroom techniques and read photography magazines, was a member of a photography society, and attended art exhibits. Later, I graduated from the New York Institute of Photography. In early 2010, I turned my attention to computers and focused on learning all of the capabilities of Photoshop. I finally learned the essential basic for photoshop such as how to create a warm, romantic image by using color grading or how to combine two animals in Photoshop and create a surreal image. Also, the author r even provides detailed common mistakes by using Photoshop and tips on how to avoid these. Thanks to the author and well recommended!!
