Too short By Nish Jugram The information is too basic, and the content doesn't come anywhere close to showing the reader how to take stunning photographs. A waste of time and money. There are no photos in the book to illustrate anything that the author writes.The book consists of an introduction, 4 short chapters that briefly describe the basic elements of photography and a conclusion. Some books on photography have a kindle sample that provides more insight than this book.

By BT Dean I bought this book for my wife as she is a very keen photographer and she has read the whole thing already!The book gives you handy tips for choosing the best camera for you and explains in simple terms the difference between your basic point-and-shoot camera and a DSLR camera.It also discusses the different modes, shutter speeds, lenses etc. that you can use with DSLR and it is written in such a way that even I could understand it!There are also some really handy tips showing you how to shoot high quality photos such as photo composition (the rule of thirds), lighting etc.So, all in all, a really good book for someone looking to up their game when taking their photographs.

The Police Revolt of 2016, by Lawrence C Mackin Mackin Sr

About the Author Lawrence, (Larry) Mackin is a police officer and former probation officer with 30 years of law enforcement experience. Larry was born and raised in South Boston, Ma and is part of a large family, many of whom have served in the U.S. Military and as police officers. A life member of the NRA and political conservative, Larry has campaigned as an independent candidate for the Office of U.S. Representative and Sheriff. Larry was the founder and President of Citizens against Reverse Discrimination, an organization that filed a Federal Reverse Discrimination lawsuit challenging the use of racial quotas in the City of Boston's Police and Fire Departments. The lawsuit went through the Federal Court system up to the United States Supreme Court. In addition to many newspaper and magazine interviews, Larry has appeared on numerous national television shows such as, 48 hours, World Monitor, Phil Donahue, Oprah Winfrey, Sally Jesse Raphael, among others. Larry is married to his wife Jeanne of 28 years. They have three children.

Once I started it I could not put it down. Mr. Mackin factually relates the role that women have played in our country's history. In the book women also play a critical role with the Son's and Daughter's of Liberty in their fight to not only restore freedom in America, but to prevent a muslim revolution lead by Obama himself. The book is eerily true and very believable. Hopefully all of our police and military personnel are reading this book. As a matter of fact, every American should read this book,

The editing and proofreading, however, was the worst I've ever seen in a publicly published book. Punctuation was often wrong and inappropriate words that sound alike often used. It was so bad, that it interfered with the overall enjoyment of the book.

The author also introduces you to two people from Trixie's past, and adds more depth to her past. Even though this is a story that tugs at the reader's heart, the ending is light hearted, and ties everything up.

About the Author Mark Piantanida became a stockbroker in 1992 upon college graduation. Throughout the years he has successfully passed the following exams: Series 7 Series 8 Series 24 Series 55 Series 63 Series 65 Series 66 Exactly 20 years after first passing the Series 7 exam in 1992, Mark took the Series 7 exam again. He was shocked to see how little the exam had changed. He noticed that the bulk of the exam again concentrated mainly on stock options. This book is worthy of its title "How to Pass the Series 7 Exam" By Ginger This book is the equivalent of a friend taking you aside after class and clearly explaining what the teacher was just saying. Using the audio files along with the book was, again, like having a friend to study with. The options chart alone is worth the price of the book. Great experience.

It starts out by breaking down the exam into sections and showing you where the most difficult questions come from (equity options and bonds). Then, it teaches you how to draw "mirror image" options charts for about 40 different formulas. The book concentrates not on explaining series 7 material, it's focused on passing the exam.

Too bad we are not encouraged to use these basic, proven methods in the public schools. The politicians that are running public schools into the ground should be reading this before making policy that has forced so many parents to remove their children from our schools. So sad.

By Scott Selby I really loved this book, as it cut to the core of the Montessori method. Most guides seem to be a "how-to" process, but here we also learn and can appreciate the "why". It emphasizes the needs of the child, and NOT the need to learn at the pace dictated by the school system says. It hits home for me, as my daughter has struggled in the public school system. I wish we would have had this available when we were researching the pros and cons of both educational structures. I feel this book would have given me the confidence to home school my child with the Montessori method. Thanks.

By Carol Hotman I was blessed to win a signed copy of this book by the authors and I have to say that I really loved reading this! If you are new to Montessori or just need a refresher for the primary years, this book is for you. It gets right to the core of Montessori without being overwhelming and it is an enjoyable and quick read. I am pleased to own this book and I will refer to it many times as I begin Montessori homeschooling for my three year old this September!

By Amazon Customer Having taught fifth grade math and science for the past twenty-one years, I am always on the lookout for new hands-on learning ideas. So happy to have found Mr. Krovetz's book on the soroban! This book is well-written. It is clear and concise. I had not explored the Japanese abacus before reading this book, but after spending a thoughtful hour with its fifty pages, Mr. Krovetz has me understanding not only adding and subtracting using the abacus, but also multiplying and dividing. (How cool, too, that instructions to build a simple abacus are included!) I am looking forward to making my own abacus, practicing with it to become proficient, and introducing it to my students! (They're going to dig it!)

The format for each chapter is helpful in learning how to apply each tool. I also appreciate the reflection questions at the end of each chapter. All of the authors write as teachers in a Christian school, but they give ways to apply the same principles in other settings.The questions and declarations often challenged me in my beliefs about myself, which allowed me to move forward in my own spiritual growth, as well. I highly recommend this book for every teacher!

It had a well thought out plot which made for an engaging story. I thoroughly enjoyed it and wouldn't mind reading more about Jade and Brian. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is I thought Jade was a little too naive to be believable at times but other than that, I really enjoyed it. Would recommend if you are looking for a good book to get lost in!
