About the Author
Jerusha Jones lives in a small town in the west end of the Columbia River Gorge. When she grows up, she fully intends to be a feisty old lady. In the meantime, she regularly maxes out her library's lending limit, has happily declared a truce with the clover in the lawn, but is fanatical about sealing up cracks in her old house, armed with a caulking gun. Due to the number of gaps she has yet to locate, however, she has also perfected her big spider shriek.
Jerusha loves wool socks, Pink Lady apples with crunchy peanut butter, feather pillows, scenery of breathtaking grandeur, and weather just cool enough to require a sweater, all of which are plentiful in the Pacific Northwest. She is eternally grateful to have escaped the corporate world with its relentless, mind-numbing meetings and now writes (or doodles or fantasizes or cogitates or stares out the window or whatever you want to call it) full time.

"Tin Foil" is the fourth book which revolves around the Imogene Museum and the characters that inhabit "small town America" (although this small town has its share of death and mayhem). The principal characters are loveable in a "Mayberry" way, though they're by no means hicks. They're resourceful, and presented as intelligent, hard-working folk. If you can put aside some of the improbables - which you have to in any mystery - you'll love this book. I don't even want to go into the gist of the story for fear of spoiling the book, but as a reader of mysteries for 55 years, this has become of of my five top-rated series. My only qualm is that I tried to make the book last 5 days, and I didn't get to the end of my second night. I can't wait for #5.

I enjoy her intelligent, accepting relationships with her quirky friends. I like the way this character pursues mysteries without stupidly walking in to dangerous situations like so many female characters do. I hope there will be more Imogene Museum Mysteries.

After the first book, I just kept buying more - and now I am sad that I have to wait for the 5th! It's a light and fast read - and VERY enjoyable. Meredith is a very likable and pretty real character... I like the continuing story lines and character developments a lot, though each book does have it's own new main story/mystery. I also love the river as a character - and the bits of history woven in. I would recommend starting at the beginning of the series.
