About the Author Connie Howse was recently interviewed by PBS for the documentary "A Wider World." She is a tireless advocate for the autistic who has lectured on educational issues related to autism. An accomplished musician with 23 years teaching experience, she has utilized music therapy with special needs students and lectured on the healing powers of music. A graduate of Spring Arbor University, she is trained in Psychology and Music. She and her husband, Ken, and their four sons (one of which, Scott, has autism), reside in Livonia, Mich.
