4 of 5 people found the following review helpful. What a disappointment. By Duke 3D A highly regarded writer and speaker like Eric. A publisher known for their comprehensive coverage of technical topics. This book took 42 pages to do not much more than restate the W3C syntax for transforms. The "examples" are iconic representations of the direction of tilt or movement for positive and negative values. No coverage of transforms as animations except to say animations take the shortest path and degrees over 360 will produce multiple twists as they animate. Superficial and dismissive coverage of the most complex matrix transforms. No deconstruction of a real website's transformation effects, no use cases, no companion website with online examples. This one-hour read could have been better presented as a one-page laminated syntax cheatsheet and then it would have been both the right length for the inadequate depth of content coverage and money well spent. I'm reselling mine after having it a day - doesn't earn the less than quarter-inch of shelf space it would occupy.
