Required Reading for the iOS Musician By Aaron McPherson This is an excellent book for anyone who wants to start making music on their iPad or iPhone (although the chapter on MIDI cannot be done on an iPhone, everything else can).If you have a lot of music apps, but mostly play them standalone, this book will also teach you how to use Audioshare and Audiobus, as well as Inter App Audio, the three most important technologies for getting apps to work together. I have not seen a better introduction to multi-app music anywhere.This book is a must-have for beginners, and even experienced musicians are likely to learn something new. Strongly recommended!

Attend School for learning to make music with Cliff Johnston By Kenneth Pepperman The iPad Music School by Cliff Johnston of the SoundTestRoom music blog is an excellent guide to using ios music. Mr. Johnston breaks down music apps and how to perform and compose with them. Anybody interested in a clear and concise introduction to making music on an iPad or iPhone should read this book. They should also read and watch Mr. Johnston on www.thesoundtestroom.com for informative videos and blogs on iOS music.

Another solid entry in the Apptronica Music App series By Sean Garland The second installment in the Apptronica Music App series is aimed more squarely at beginners to iOS music making. At this, it succeeds. A very detailed, step by step walk through of how to create music using your iDevices. Recommended for beginners.
