By Amazon Customer Felt it was full of information, but a novice computer user would still be confused by the language. You'd need to read a subject several times to completely understand how to apply the instructions.

I am a writer and entrepreneur. I am very good at finding my way around OO and MS word, draw and publishing programs. I am NOT very good with organizational programs and excel and spreadsheets in general. So when I came across this, I was curious. This book, and the pivot function- are definitely geared toward business users. The pivot function is a way of being able to manipulate and tabulate information within spreadsheets. The author does an amazing job of using diagrams, illustrations and even exercises, to walk the user through the learning process. She covers the basics of the pivot table, and how to modify and copy tables etc. understanding this feature will enhance what you can do with spreadsheets, and this book will definitely help you to master this feature.

I use pivot tables a lot and thought I had a good understanding of them, but this book has taken my productivity to a whole new level. Reading this book and understanding the concepts within has definitely been a "wow" experience for me. The style of writing is excellent and extensive screenshots and notes make it easy to follow the necessary processes too quickly and painless achieve the desired outcome. This book covers everything from the history of the Pivot table and data basics, right through to complex tasks involving calculated pivot fields, pivot charts and extracting data from external data sources such as MS Excess and SQL database
