I really did like the book because of how Congo and Honey wanted to rise above their circumstances. The ending though... smh kinda makes reading this book wasted time. I wanted to read about Congo and Honey accomplishing what they set out to do NOT another stereotypical urban hood tale. Im not sure I want to read book 2 for this reason but I probably will. But PLEASE lets not have any long ago forgotten mistresses from the dark days of their relationship pop up with kids and fatal attractions! Other than that I thought it was a very intriguing and interesting read. I like Honey and Congo, I think they just need to re-focus.

It was refreshing to read about a couple going through real life things and not just all about lable dropping and partying. I hope the new life they're about to get into doesn't prove to be too terribly difficult for Honey in book two. I want them to stay together forever. I also hope Toro get his mind right Arizona is a good girl. I can't wait to read part two. I suppose the only downside was the book ending at 83% I could have lived without the preview of the other book for more of Congo and Honey.

Kinda slow By Tierra V I love azayler but this book didn't do it for me I feel like the whole book was about the struggle we didn't see any of the come up yet it was drawn out I didn't get the Samuel and his fam part of the story it wax irrelevant don't understand why Congo stayed with neka all that time after she did what she did but I did love honey and Congo relationship she was just a lame
