MEAGAN: I knew that boy was trouble the moment I laid eyes on him: shaved head, leather jacket, tattoos leaking out onto his neck like warpaint. I've just now left behind the storms of my past, and he is no fluffy white cloud to land on. But one wicked smile from him, and I'm shivering, longing for something I should never want. Maybe just one night. Yeah, one rough night to shake me free. That's all this was supposed to be... VAUGHN: That waitress had my attention from the moment her dark eyes found mine. She shouldn't have been my type, not by a long shot. But opportunity presented itself, and I gave in to my desires. Problem is, this girl won't leave my goddamn mind. I can't keep myself away from her lush embrace. This goes on, the truth will find us - burn me to the ground. Cause my family and I run with the Storm's Soldiers - the roughest bunch of white separatists south of the Mason-Dixon. And this girl ain't white. I should end it. I can't. This novel features sizzling romance, steamy sexual situations and a small amount of disturbing language. It is a compilation of the best selling novellas Black and White, Grey and Clear. Mature audiences only.

And I'm sitting here trying to figure out the most tactful way to write this but I'm really struggling. So I think I'll go least to most offensive. This book (from what I can tell) is essentially the re-release of 3-4 novellas smooshed into a book. I'm glad I didn't read the novellas and instead just read the book. But if you go looking into if this is a part of a series you might get confused seeing all the books with the same storyline. Now on to what I think my biggest issue is. I like a decent IR book. And the storyline per the description seemed really intriguing to me. What I don't like is up until about 97% this book read like AB propaganda. Which you know if that's your thing... that's your thing and you'll like the book.I get the dude struggled with what he was raised in but there is a point in his repeated talks with this girl he's sleeping with where the spewing of the ideology and it's benefits... well honestly I felt like I was standing at an AB rally listening to someone talk to me. And I get to a degree that's the intent. But then when he started to convince his black girlfriend of the benefits of white nationalism... I got a tough time not making some judgements of the ideology this book is trying to push. Or when it's repeatedly stated in the book the white supremacists and white nationalists are not the same and that white nationalists are not really racist per se... you know.... I kind of struggle with what the book is really pushing.Layer on that the "relationship" which is essentially him taking a walk on the wild side and sleeping with someone of a different race and her kind of taking her formerly abused self and kind of tolerating it. *sigh*Now I'm not saying the boy didn't struggle in the book between his secret world with his girl and his persona with his club. But I'm also not going to say he struggled a ton. He knew his people were going to judge him for this relationship. And he knew he didn't feel super strong about what they were saying. But he appeared to feel until darn near the end of the book that his white nationalism was still ok but it's also ok if he picked and chose which people of color he decided to hang out with too. Kind of straddling both worlds. Which you know.... again... which ideology are we pushing. And then the book resolves at about 97% and it doesn't necessarily resolve but it is what it is. Every one moves on with their lives. He's still covered in his white power tattoos. She's duly embarrassed as he walks around without a shirt on in public.I guess you know if that's your thing. Fine. But it needs to be noted not only is this a book filed with a lot of racial slurs and derogatory comments but that there's a heavy dose of this lifestyle. And I'm hoping my comment is that. There are many ways to tackle this particular subject and pairing of people and I guess I just expected something that wasn't this. And all in all I was so uncomfortable reading this entire book (read it to give it a chance to redeem itself) that I really struggled with how to write this review.

A white supremist biker and a black college student/waitress who meet and develop an extreme attraction to each other, despite the color of their skin and his racist club's beliefs. Each one has a story to tell about why they are who they are...and together they try to make a change...him with his attitude about all races that aren't his own and she, convincing herself (and her brother) that he is not a "monster".I liked the relationship these two had and although at times it was a bit predictable and preachy, it was different and had a good message. It was not so much an MC book as much as it was a book about race and the messed up mind set of these radical groups...and of course a love story between two people from opposite worlds. An abusive EX boyfriend, various meddling friends, some unforgiving "brothers" and a tragic loss of family all make up the rest of this book.Different and hopeful, although this type of story has been done before. Some editing and spelling errors that made me have to re-read to figure out who was talking, but otherwise a pretty good story.**** 3.5 **** "black and white make a beautiful world" stars

By Reader Writer I am tapping this out quick from my Kindle, but I will return with a full review soon. In short, buy this compilation. Its major drawback is that it's really the length of a standard novel. But overall it doesn't matter, because the story's done quite well. Even with the editing flubs and minor issues. Well worth the time, effort and cost!
