It starts with an idea, takes shape in the writers mind, sends her off to do research, and ends in places she couldn't imagine.But Seduction Game...I started it in January 2014. While I was writing the first chapter, I got the news that my former mother-in-law and friend had been in a terrible car accident. She died a few days later.I was a few chapters in when I got the devastating news that I had invasive ductal carcinoma, a form of breast cancer. I had no choice but to set the book aside while I underwent a bilateral mastectomy, three months of chemotherapy, and five weeks of daily radiation treatments. I was too sick even to imagine writing. It seemed to me that months of sickness, pain, and fear had destroyed my creativity. I told those closest to me that I was afraid I'd never write again.And then another January came. I was able to stop using morphine. And to my surprise, a book exploded out of my soul.I started at the beginning, rewrote what I'd written. I wrote faster than I've written since the early days of my fiction career, and I loved every moment of it. I laughed, got teary-eyed, and reveled in the feeling of writing again. Holly came to be my favorite heroine ever as her story unfolded on the page. And I felt alive again.Seduction Game isn't just a book to me. It's my literary fist held high in the air. It's my way of showing the world that I am still here, still on my feet, still creating despite the horrors of cancer.Cancer is behind me. And now I have a new full-length novel out. 9 of 9 people found the following review helpful. An amazing series that goes out with a bang By A Book a Day When it comes to romantic suspense, you cannot find better than Pamela Clare. Of my favorites in this genre, which include Christy Reece, Maya Banks and Cindy Gerard, Pamela Clare is ranked #1. I have loved her ITeam stories from the very first, Extreme Exposure, and patiently waited for each new installment which somehow maintained the same great quality of writing and storytelling, if not improved. I laugh, I cry, and I'm generally at the edge of my seat, waiting to see how it all turns out. Even the novellas by this author are better than most novels you'll find and they still manage to wring out just about every emotion possible. I've also waited a VERY long time to read about "Horny Holly" who has been so supportive throughout the series and is simply too much of a character to not have some terrific story tied to her. So it's no surprise, that's what you'll find with Seduction Game. If you haven't read the previous books, I recommend you do to keep up with the characters, but really, it's okay if you haven't.Holly Bradshaw is an entertainment writer for the Denver Independant Newspaper, or at least, that's what we've all thought for 6+ stories. She's stunningly beautiful, redefines high maintenance, and just about every man in the world wants to bed her. I won't even go into how inappropriate some of those men are, but the fact leaves Holly in a very unique position to get close to certain men for her second job. Nick Andris is a CIA agent who's been ordered to tail Ms. Bradshaw, based on her latest relationship with a terrorist, human trafficker, and all-around baddy. He's been told she's a traitor to her country and given the green light to terminate her if necessary. As he watches Holly, he can't believe she's anything but the vapid, entertainment columnist she appears to be, until he's outwitted during the most personal op of his life.We always knew that when Holly's story came out, it would mark the end of the series and that's a very sad thought indeed, but I can easily say this story goes out with a bang and Holly is one kicka$$ heroine you wont' be disappointed to read about. The entire cast of previous characters are back and.or mentioned and it's great to see how they all rally around Holly. No way are all these hot alpha males sitting back while one of their own is in danger and it adds great comic relief and keeps the story grounded. No surprise, I laughed, I cried, I got mad and was sickened, and was also riveted to the steamy sex scenes as well as the danger lurking in each corner. Thank you Pamela Clare for giving us a great installment to an amazing series.

By Pat Fordyce If you are a fan of Pamela Claire's novels, or even if you have never read one, grab this latest in her romantic suspense series, it will rock your world.Holly Bradshaw is an "entertainment writer; a smart but shallow blonde; a woman who loves sex, expensive clothes, and good times with friends." She is close friends with the I-Team members, and their spouses, and they all feel very protective of her. In fact, joking with Kara, (wife of Reese) she was daydreaming about which of the men would be her fantasy. She immediately thought of Julian Darcangelo, who she has had a secret crush on for years. I have to heartily agree with her on that choice. But, Holly does not play with married men. She is dating Sasha Dudaev, a billionaire known for his interest in gas, oil and the arts. He is very generous with gifts, but Holly is finding him boring. Holly dates a lot of rich, intriguing, often dangerous men.Nick Andris is Holly's next door neighbor and has been investigating her for months. He listens, tracks her with a gps system, delved into her background and family and has yet to figure out what his bosses in the CIA/SAD ( Special Activities Division) could possibly want with her. Other than the scumbag she is dating, who is involved with a lot more illegal dangerous things than he lets others know. Nick has a history with Sasha, and nothing would make him happier than taking him down dead or alive. Ms. Bradshaw seems to be a lover of expensive beautiful things, and men, not dangerous. It's time for Nick Andris ( alias Andrews) and Holly to meet. After all, their first encounter she wasn't aware he was there.I couldn't put this book down after the first chapter. It's shocking, funny and so heartwarming. So much fun to have all the characters together, the men bantering, all the kids, and the courageous women of the I-Team. The epilogue alone is worth five stars as far as I'm concerned. I don't want the I-Team Series to end, but if this is the last story it ends with a blaze of glory.I received this ARC from the author for an honest review. I have all the books by Ms. Clare on audio, I can't wait to add The Seduction Game.Pat Fordyce
5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. Cross-Eyed By JoJo It is 4:30AM and my eyes are on fire, but this was definitely woth an 'all-nighter'! Who knew Holly would turn out to be such a bad ass? As with th rest of the I Team series, you will not be disappointed.
