2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Another tarnished saint that was more saint then sinner. By Niki Driscoll Philip Taylor is not anything like his brothers. He likes things neat, clean and orderly and that is only a few of the quirks his family tease him about. Taylor Phillips is loud, messy, likes sports and hanging out with the guys. She does not meet any of Philips standards for the perfect women but he can't help being attracted to her. Fate has a strange sense of humor and its up to the other tarnished saints and their ladies to help Philip and Taylor see they are perfect for each other. Another great addition to this awesome series. Philip and Taylor are great characters and watching them interact is very amusing. It was nice to see the other saints are still in true from and great character support to the current story. As for a tarnished saint, Phillip really didn't have to far to fall. His OCD , anal tendencies and superiority complex really were not real vices and they made him the great character that he was. Another tarnished saint that was more saint then sinner.

Elizabeth Rose created a character that not only was close OCD, but one that also had some emotional trauma of never feeling as if he fit in- thanks to his brothers! Philip is quirky but has a heart and emotional level that you can't help but cheer on. I found myself angry at times toward Taylor and his brothers on Philip's behalf, especially when Philip first discovers why Taylor is there.Elizabeth Rose has a way with adding in the laughs. I found several places that I couldn't help but laugh out loud as I pictured the scene. The lightheartness and the seriousness of the relationship between Taylor and Philip was balanced very well.This is a great story depicting people who are totally opposites trying to learn to forge a life together. The idea of compromise is so foreign to either Taylor or Philip that you have to wonder will they make it.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. The Odd Couple...DEFINATELY! By Cathy He was "Mr. Prim and Proper". She was "Ms. Slob". He liked wine and French cooking. She liked beer, burgers and sports. He wasn't sure about living with someone. She wants a baby. She took his job and demoted him to her assistant. Sometimes Chemistry say opposites attract. They were married a week after he proposed. The marriage has both humor and sadness. Can this marriage ever survive??? The author, Elizabeth Rose draws on some advice and wisdom from her character "Aunt Cappy" and...well you'll just have to read the story to find out what happens. Definitely an enjoyable story to read.
