About the Author While Jamie Nicolle has always dreamed of publishing stories that others would love to read, it wasn't until she turned 50 that her dream was realized. "The first one I obsessed over!" she tells people. "I constantly tweaked it, added and then deleted portions I wasn't happy with, changed all of the illustrations at least twice and then worried incessantly that no one would want to read it . . . I finally had to force myself to publish and move on or I'd never achieve the goals I'd created for myself."
