About the Author Stanford E. Angion is married to Athenia M. Angion, formerly of Cleveland, Ohio. They have two daughters, Ivana and Kendra. The Angions reside in Valley Grande, Alabama and are members of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Coy, Alabama, where Stan has served as pastor since June 2003. Also, he teaches ninth and eleventh grade English at Keith High School in Orrville, Alabama. Stan was born and reared in Coy, Alabama. He attended Wilcox County High in Camden, where he graduated as an honor student in 1982. After graduation, he attended Alabama A&M University and graduated in December 1986 with a Bachelor of Soil Science degree and commission as an Army Major. Other accomplishments include earning a Master’s of Journalism and Mass Communications from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia and a Doctor of Education from Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama. His teaching experiences include seven years at middle and high school, nearly three years at the collegiate level, five years at military training commands, two years in pre-kindergarten and afterschool programs, and more than twenty-seven years in Christian congregations. Stan’s work and leadership experience includes serving as the Vice President of Student Services at Concordia College Alabama for two years, Vice President for the Star of Hope Congress of Christian Education for two years, youth pastor at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Hinesville, Georgia for two years, and in the United States Army for nearly thirteen years. Stan has published three book. In November 2003, he published Unleashing the Inner Strength of Youth. In November 2014 he published Invigorating Hope, and Invigorating Hope Implementation Guide was published in July 2015. For six years, he hosted a weekly radio broadcast, The Inner Strength Broadcast Ministry, on WYVC 102.3 in Camden, Alabama. Stan is in his second year as moderator of the Star of Hope Association, which comprises about fifteen local Baptist churches. Additionally, he is President and Director of Mt. Gilead Scholastic and Artistic Institute. The MGS&A Institute is an educational organization designed to equip underprepared students to become well-cultured, productive citizens by helping them to develop a system of Christian ethics, master basic academic skills, and enhance artistic dexterity. MGS&A offers a variety of programs and courses designed to enhance elementary, secondary, and post-secondary student learning.

Dr. Angion has experience what he has written about and is very well informed.
