Adriana M. Amaro, president, CEO and owner of All About Languages!, brings more than 12 years of direct classroom experience in teaching Spanish to students. She graduated from George Washington University. Adriana has a master's degree in education from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland, and earned an AMI diploma from the Washington Montessori Institute. This is her first book.
Hannah Salyer discovered her passion for art at a very young age and has since established herself as an artist in the local DC Metropolitan community. At 18 years of age, she has already sold many of her pieces, fulfilled many commission projects, completed murals for various institutions, and established her own art site and jewelry line: Rancid Lotus Art. She is studying illustration at Pratt.

Not only do you learn Spanish in an entertaining way, but you also learn about culture as well. The activities are well thought out, engaging, and easy to follow. While you may think this is targeted for kids, It's also great for adult learners. What I find especially interesting about this approach is that it's a blueprint of lesson plans for how to learn ANY language. Great for language teachers too. I could also see this for grandparents looking for a learning activity to do with their grandkids, especially if they are Spanish speakers who want their grandkids to remember their language and heritage. Really amazing, beautiful book.

It is an AMAZING resource to get cultural lessons from. I have incorporated most of Ms. Amaro's lessons in my teaching journey with wonderful results. The activity “What did you do over the summer”, works really really well for me with 7th and 8th grade, using simple past tenses. “Dia de los Abuelos,” works well with pre-k to 4th grade. I LOVED the activity "El Disfraz", its a booster of creativity and an inspiration to a child’s imagination!”

What I loved the most is the Birthday of the month activity! I think students would love it as well. In my experience my students really like to do cultural activities, for example; they enjoyed very much drawing pumpkin faces, matching vocabulary, and learning about Spanish-speaking countries.”Paula C.
