Life of a College Bandsman 2 picks up where book 1 left off. The reader is thrust back into the world of Zack Finley as he navigates further into college life, being a bandsman and relationships. Like its predecessor, L.O.C.B is highly entertaining due to the emotional conflicts that plague Zach as he continues to grow into adulthood. While book 1 charted the history of Zach and those in his orbit, Book 2 expanded on the character developments and relationships of returning and new participants in this highly charged book. Jaxon has done a terrific job of incorporating many characters and conflicts in this book without losing the authentic plot that surrounds the subliminal romance between Zach and Dwight Taylor. The interaction between Zach and Dwight is tender and emotional but yet explosive because of mixed signals that Dwight continues to send to Zach. Zach realizes that he is in love with Dwight but Dwight continues to deny that he is gay even though his jealousy of Zach's boyfriends, protection of Zach and flirtatious gestures continues to confuse Zach. As Zach and Dwight's story play out, Jaxon weaves so many other interesting, amusing and pleasurable stories into the book that involves: Chaz McDaniel, Zach's ex-boyfriend, as he attempts to give up the gay lifestyle as he builds a life with his girlfriend and children while trying to forget Zach; Eric McDaniel, Zach's current boyfriend and Chaz's cousin, who must choose between Zach and his family because of a threat of being outed by his brother; The Harris Family - Michael, Rachelle, Ra'Jon, Raidon, Morgan, Mica and Michelle, who are tormented by family lies and secrets and the realization that all of the Harris men are gay. Jaxon even throws in more characters that play important roles in the book that drive the story to the conclusion of this book. What is important about this book is that it reeks of real life emotions, actions, lessons, awakenings and turmoil. Because of those things, new scandals and secrets arise that should play out nicely in book 3. This is a wonderful book that is well-written, sexy, shocking, captivating, alluring and urban. It kept my interest from page 11 to 497. Jaxon Grant continues to amaze me as he produce attention-grabbing books that are everlasting. Book 3 cannot come fast enough. Another notch up the ladder for this talented writer and storyteller.

I can say so much, but I don't want to give away certain parts to those who haven't read it yet. Extremely entertaining and well written. The characters are all unique, but yet the same with a common goal. I enjoy characters from previous books, making cameo appearances. I cannot wait until the 3rd installment. Dwight are you serious!!!!! Tony I can't wait...Chaz good luck with that one! Micah say word!!! Black...SMDH. Zachary
