Case of the Missing Byte follows the adventures of Larah and Kury as they search for their dog Byte. Larah and Kury live in a magical world where the computer comes to life as a whimsical castle. Perfectly executed art to match. Using technology as characters in a story for kids is such a great idea in this day and age!

I read the story to my 2nd grade class and here are some of their comments: " I liked Byte the most and what he had to go through". "The mouse looks funny." The drawings of the characters were funny because their heads were shapes!" It made me learn new things about computers. "I liked when the king was sick. He had a virus so I learned that even kings get sick, just like when computers get a virus." The end was cool--when the giant screen appeared, they found Byte."The glossary was important at the end of the book to teach the younger readers the vocabulary needed to understand computers and how they work.Paula
